Founded in 1982 by Michael Urban, Associated Flooring provides top values and service using in-house installers, mill direct pricing, and guaranteed installation.
Serving the entire east bay, we offer special discounts for real estate agents, building managers, property owners, as well as highly competitive pricing to the public. We believe that dedication to service combined with decades of expertise and low overhead provides the ultimate benefit to the consumer, resulting in repeat and referral business.
Our roots in the carpet business go back as far as the early 1930's with Grandmother Urban working in Alexander Smith's back east, and with Father Urban operating Urban Carpet Service from 1945 to 1974.
Michael Urban holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from New York University, and has over 12 years experience as a union carpet layer (local 1290 AFL/CIO) from 1971 to 1982. Associated Flooring has now become a family business as of this year with the addition of son John joining the staff in 2008.
